Hot Melt Tape

Hot melt tape is engineered for fast, high-volume carton sealing, delivering immediate tack and strong adhesion, especially on recycled, rough, or dusty corrugate in controlled temperature environments (40–120°F).

Features
  • High-tack adhesive for fast, reliable carton sealing
  • Instant bond for high-speed packaging lines
  • Performs well on recycled, rough, or dusty corrugate
  • Best suited for controlled temperature environments (40–120°F)
  • Automated case sealers
  • Fulfillment and distribution centers
  • Sealing recycled or low-quality corrugated boxes

Freezer Tape / Cold Temperature Tape

When packaging in refrigerated environments or sub-zero storage, freezer-grade tape ensures your cartons stay sealed under pressure. Formulated to bond with frosty, damp, or cold surfaces.

Features
  • Formulated to bond in cold, damp, or frosty conditions
  • Maintains adhesion in refrigerated and sub-zero environments
  • Strong hold despite condensation or surface moisture
  • Ideal for cold-chain packaging operations
  • Cold storage facilities
  • Frozen food packaging
  • Chilled and refrigerated transport

Carton Sealing Tape

For clean presentation and long-term durability, acrylic carton sealing tape offers excellent clarity, UV resistance, and adhesion over a wide temperature range.

Features
  • Excellent clarity for clean, professional presentation
  • Strong long-term adhesion with aging resistance
  • UV- and weather-resistant adhesive
  • Performs across a wide temperature range
  • Export and long-term storage
  • Retail and consumer-facing packaging
  • Temperature-variable environments

Which Tape is Right for You?

Choosing the right packaging tape depends on your working environment, shipping conditions, and packaging speed. Hot melt tape offers high initial tack, making it ideal for fast-paced operations using recycled cartons. Freezer tape is specially engineered for low-temperature environments and adheres reliably to frosty or humid surfaces. Acrylic carton sealing tape provides excellent long-term hold and UV resistance, perfect for storage, export, or retail-ready packaging. Use the comparison table below to determine which tape best fits your application needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Not recommended. Hot melt adhesives typically lose tack in temperatures below 40°F. For walk-in freezers, chilled warehouses, or cold chain shipping, use cold temperature or freezer-rated acrylic tapes.

Not necessarily. Most of our tapes are available in hand rolls (2"–3") and machine-length rolls (1,000–2,000+ ft). Make sure to select the right core size and roll length for your equipment.

Most industrial packaging tapes have a shelf life of 12 to 18 months, depending on storage conditions. Store them in a cool, dry place, ideally between 60–80°F, away from direct sunlight.

Hot melt tapes are ideal for high-speed automation due to their quick tack and secure bond. They hold up well under tension and prevent pop-opens during shipping. Acrylic tapes can also be used for automated lines where clarity or long-term aging is a priority.
